Please tell me the title and author of the book you chose to read for your first free-reading book. From chapter one, please describe the setting and the characters that have been introduced.
I am reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. In chapter one the setting is Willington, Georgia where Ronnie's dad lives. Ronnie, her dad Steve, and Jonna, her brother have only been introduced. Willington is very small town with a carnival, beach, and alot more entertaining stuff but it's nothing new to the people that live there.
I read the notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Chapter one is about a gut noah and a girl named allie meet and they start to like each other and as there relationship starts to get serious. Also just talks about there friends family ect. The setting is in North Carolina. Allie was bron in a rich family, noah was born in a family that he had to help work hard for food shelter ect,not really bad but he had to work hard still. Thats chapter one of the notebook by nicholas sparks.
I just finished the book Shug by Jenny Han. The book took place in a small town and was about a girl named Annemarie who's mother calls her "Shug" who starts to like her best friend named Mark who she has been friends with scene she was 5. The problem is Mark dosnt like her back, he just thinks of her as one of his good friends, and when middle school comes she realizes that not only dose he not like her, but he dosnt really wanna be friends anymore. And in the middle of all this, her parents are fighting on a regular basis,its a good thing her dad works out of town. Also, she has to deal with loosing one of her best friends Elaine and watching her sister beautiful sister Celia "fall in love." In this book Annemarie realizes her world is changing. It was a great book and in the end she learns to let go of things she cant hold on to forever....
I have started a new book called Jurassic park. Although i was warned earlier by all the scientific words, i think that the novel is actually good. The novel itself does not have very many high vocabulary words,the setting is very clear and the Characters seem to fit in. The Bowman family takes a vacation to Cabo, wile on vacation the Bowman's daughter walks away from where the family had camped. She wanted to find a sloth. What she finds is a chicken walking like lizard. She reaches to pet the lizard, and the lizard jumps and attacks her. Later in the story she had many bites and rashes from this mysterious lizard. No one has ever seen this one lizard before. Therefore no one believes in this story of what really bit her.
